‘NTR’ gets lucrative offers for theatrical rights

The biopic NTR is learnt to be getting lucrative offers from Bollywood production and distribution giants for all India theatrical rights.

Sony Pictures is said to have offered 80+ crores for the theatrical rights of NTR keeping in mind that the film has popular celeb's story as the theme and directed by Krish Jagarlamudi who is quite popular in Bollywood circles.

To bring legendary Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh NT Rama Rao's real-life persona to the silver screen, his son Nandamuri Balakrishna turned a producer himself to produce NTR.

However, Balakrishna hasn't decided whether he should sell the movie or not as his business partners are said to be advising him to slow down as they feel that the film has almost 150+ crores business potential. For now, Sony's offer is kept on hold.

In the movie, Nandamuri Balakrishna himself will be featured in the titular role of his late father. Vidya Balan is acting as the female lead.

There is huge expectation about the movie. “I grew up watching NTR’s films. To get an opportunity to make a film on his life means a lot to me. I consider it my life’s biggest honour and I’ll work really hard to live up to all the expectations on this project,” director Krish said.
