Long, thick and healthy hair is the dream of almost every woman and most of them are not able to get it.

 

 

Many of them are facing hair damage and hair loss problems. Beauty parlour treatment is not a permanent solution for this, because. It is too costly and time-consuming.  However, if you spent some time on having a healthy food in your daily routine, it will give you good results within a few weeks. 

Here are some foods that will help you grow your hair…

1.    Nuts

Nuts are high in protein and zinc, which is helpful for promoting strong and healthy hair. Nuts contain unsaturated fatty acids and other nutrients. It is good for the heart and helps you to control cholesterol. Nuts contain a variety of nutrients that may promote hair growth.  

Good nuts to add to your diet include walnuts and Brazil nuts, which are high in selenium. Selenium is good for promoting a healthy skin and scalp and help to prevent hair loss. Regularly having a variety of nuts can have great health benefits. They provide a wide variety of vitamin B, zinc, and essential fatty acids. It is easily available in the market.

  1. Eggs

For those suffering from hair loss, eggs may provide the perfect solution. Eggs are a great source of protein and biotin, which is essential for hair growth. Eggs are also a great source of zinc, selenium, Vitamin B12 and other hair-healthy nutrients. The deficiency of Vitamin B 12 can lead to pernicious anaemia and hair loss. For a protein-rich treatment, apply a beaten egg to hair, leave for 10 minutes, and then rinse off with cool water.

  1. Fish

If you are craving for strong, shiny hair, try adding oily fish – such as salmon, trout, herring, sardines and mackerel to your regular diet that helps to promote hair growth. Fishes are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, protein, selenium, vitamin D3, and vitamin B, which are often linked to hair growth; it is considered excellent food for your hair. To boost your body’s absorption of iron, try eating your oily fish sprinkled with vitamin C-rich lemon juice.  

  1. Seeds

All seeds are good for health. Different seed varieties have their own individual properties for healthy hair. Some healthy seeds are Sunflower seeds, which provide biotin, pumpkin seeds high in zinc, and flaxseed, which provide omega-3 oils. All these can help promote a healthy, nourished scalp and hair.

  1. Spinach

Spinach is a green leafy and healthy vegetable loaded with nutrients like iron, vitamins A, B, E, and C. Spinach is a super food comprising of potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium and omega-3 fatty acids all of which are required for healthy hair growth.

  1. Whole grains

Whole grains are rich with vitamins, Zinc, silica. Healthy whole grains can help reduce hair breakage. For healthy, strong hair, try to eat a variety of whole grains.

  1. Yoghurt

Yoghurt is rich in calcium, protein. We can use yoghurt for multiple purposes. It is a good hair mask as well as healthy food. For those suffering from an itchy scalp or dandruff, then apply yoghurt on your scalp and hair with a massage. Leave it for 10 minutes and rinse off.
