NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will release its manifesto for the ensuing Lok Sabha polls scheduled to start from April 11.
As per the report, its key highlights are issues of development and national security.
The BJP is likely to make a slew of promises to woo different sections of the society, especially farmers, youth and women, besides the downtrodden.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and its chief Amit Shah will be present at the launch of the manifesto, described by the BJP as its "Sankalp Patra".
According to a party statement, members of its parliamentary board will also be present on the occasion
On Sunday, senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley had unveiled campaign themes and other materials of the party's election campaign, with ‘Phir ek baar, Modi sarkar’ (Modi government, once more) as the tag line.
“The BJP campaign themes will talk about honest governance, ability to take a major decision, women empowerment and other welfare measures undertaken by the NDA government in the past five years”, said Arun Jaitley.
“BJP will also highlight commitment to the poor, middle class and new middle class”, he added.
Arun Jaitley alleged that the manifesto of the Congress does not refer to these groups.
On Sunday, BJP had released the party's Sankalp Patra for Odisha in Bhubaneswar. BJP Chief Amit Shah and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan were present on the occasion.
