‘Aadujeevitham’ crew member who returned with actor Prithviraj from Jordan turns COVID-19 positive

A native of Malappuram , who was part of the film crew of Prithviraj-starrer ‘Aadujeevitham’, has tested positive for COVID-19.


The 58-year-old man returned from Jordan via Kochi airport along with Prithviraj on May 22. 

He had accompanied the team to Jordan as a translator.

According to OnManorama report, he had been under observation at the COVID care centre at Edappal in Malappuram for eight days and then in home quarantine. 

The disease was confirmed during this period and he was shifted to the Manjeri Medical College Hospital. 

At the same time, actor Prithviraj tested negative for the disease. The actor took to Instagram and revealed that he tested negative after a voluntary COVID-19 test. He also added that he will still be completing the quarantine before returning home

58-member team including Prithviraj and director Blessy moved to Jordan for the shooting of the Malayalam movie ‘Aadujeevitham’. The team got stranded in the foreign land after the permission for the shooting was cancelled due to the COVID-19 lockdown.

As the situation improved, they completed the shooting with special permission from Jordan authority and returned to India.

All members of the team were taken to quarantine centres after the health check-up at the airport.

After the institutional quarantine period of the film crew ended on May 29, several people were under home quarentine
