2 persons in Telangana minister's convoy killed in accident

JANGAON: Two people died when one of the cars in the convoy of Minister for Panchayat Raj Errabelli Dayakar Rao overturned at Cheeturu village under Lingala Ghanpur Mandal in Jangaon district in the wee hours of Sunday.

According to the police report, the bulletproof vehicle turned turtle after losing control near Cheeturu and crashed claiming two lives.
The deceased have been identified as Parthasarathy, who was the driver of the car, and T Poornendar, who was the minister's social media in-charge.
The bodies of the deceased were shifted to the Jangaon Government Hospital for post-mortem.
Three others - Gunman Naresh, attender Shiva and Tata Rao - sustained grievous injuries in the mishap. They were admitted to Janagama district hospital.
Minister Rao rushed to the spot and supervised the rescue operations, he also went to the hospital and consoled the injured.
The incident occurred when the minister was heading to his assembly constituency of Palakurthy, from Hyderabad, along with his convoy for an official programme.
