67 more COVID-19 cases in Andhra, state tally reaches 1,650

With 77 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Andhra Pradesh has risen to 1,650.


According to a bulletin issued by AP State COVID nodal officer Arja Srikanth, there are 1,093 active cases in the state. As many as 10,292 samples were tested in AP in the last 24 hours.

Among the new cases, 25 were reported from Kurnool, 19 from Guntur, 12 from Krishna, six from Visakhapatnam, four from Kadapa and one from Chittoor district.

According to the media bulletin issued by the State Command Control Room (Health) on Monday morning, the number of discharged also crossed the 500 mark. The figure now stands at 524 with 36 more COVID-19 patients discharged on their recovery.

Meanwhile, no deaths have been reported. Total number of deaths in the state till date is 33.

According to the data provided by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India's COVID-19 tally reached 42,533 on Monday.

Meanwhile, with an increase of 72 deaths in the last 24 hours, the number of deaths in the country due to COVID-19 has risen to 1,373.

The total number of active cases in the country is 29,453. Meanwhile 11,706 persons have been cured/discharged/migrated.
