Andhra CM Jagan Mohan Reddy to visit Guntur on November 7 to hand over cheques to Agri Gold victims

AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will be visiting Guntur on November 7 to hand over cheques to the Agri Gold victims.

According to the media report, Minister Mopidevi Venkataramana Rao, Chilakaluripeta MLA Rajani and Guntur parliament president Lella Appireddy and Collector Samuel Anand Kumar discussed the arrangements for the CM's visit.
Earlier, the government had released Rs 264.99 crore as the first instalment for Agri Gold victims. The money will be given to those who have made deposits of Rs. 10000. Around 3.69 lakh people have been selected across the state for this purpose.
The government had identified close to 19 lakh depositors in Andhra Pradesh alone who were cheated by Avva Venkata Rama Rao, managing director of M/s AgriGold Farm Estates India Private Limited.
The government has already seized properties of Agri Gold Farm Estates India and Heera Group, Sonal Land Construction and Farms India and Indi Trade Capital Limited.
Around 200 people have lost their lives in Andhra alone due to the scam, while the victims are spread across nine states.
