The district selection committee led by the district collector will decide the qualifying marks in the district level depending upon the number of vacant posts

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy declared the results of the exams held for filling the posts in village/ward secretariats in the state.

The village/ward secretariat system was introduced about a year ago with a purpose to deliver the benefits of government welfare schemes to the beneficiaries at their doorstep. Accordingly, the government recruited 1,10,520 candidates last year and conducted 14 types of examinations for filling 16,208 vacancies in 13 departments of Village/ward secretariats from September 20 to 26.

Out of the 10.58 lakh candidates appeared for the, 7.69 lakh qualified, reported The New Indian Express.

The district selection committee led by the district collector will decide the qualifying marks in the district level depending upon the number of vacant posts.

The district collectors will prepare the merit list as per the rules of reservation and roster and send provisional letters to the selected candidates.

Selected candidates must upload their certificates on the website and attend the certificate verification on the dates informed by the district collectors.
