Army eliminates 9 terrorists in J & K in 24 hours

It is part of an ongoing anti-infiltration operation in Keran sector of North Kashmir.

The Indian Army has neutralized a total of 9 terrorists in the last 24 hours in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Four terrorists, who were involved in the killing of innocent civilians, were eliminated at the Batpura area of South Kashmir on April 4 while five others have been eliminated along LoC in Keran sector. Terrorists killed in Keran sector were trying to infiltrate from across LoC, says reports.

One soldier has lost his life while two others are critically injured in the operation. Operations to evacuate the injured have been hampered by heavy snow and rough terrain conditions.

Operation is still in progress, according to Army sources quoted by news agency ANI.
