Army Havildar killed in Pak firing along LoC in J-K's Rajouri district

The Pakistan Army opened heavy fire and shelled mortars targeting forward areas along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district.

According to the official report, one Army Havildar has been killed in action during a ceasefire violation by Pakistan.

As per the report, the unprovoked firing from across the border in Lam area of Nowshera sector took place around 1 am, resulting in critical injuries to a havaldar, who died later,

The Indian Army retaliated strongly to silence the Pakistani guns, and cross-border firing between the two sides continued for quite some time

On the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday, Pakistan Rangers had violated ceasefire in the Harinagar sector in the Kathua district. 

Pakistan carried out more than 4,052 ceasefire violations this year.
