Complaint against Hyderabad man for objectionable post against Telangana CM

A Facebook post under the profile of one Panayalu Raju from the state capital of Hyderabad against Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhara Rao has enraged his Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) party cadres.

The ruling party leaders from cantonment area in Secunderabad have approached the police saying the post contained derogatory and insulting remarks against the chief minister. Bowenpally police circle inspector Anjaiah has got the post the shares removed from the social media with the help of cybercrime police, said a report in Hans India.

Police have accepted the complaint and considering the legality of registering a case under the Information Technology Act.

A man here was arrested in April 2019 for making abusive comments against Chandrashekhara Rao and his daughter K. Kavitha on Facebook. The Cyber Crime Police of the Central Crime Station had arrested Chirpa Naresh, a resident of Mahabunagar, on a complaint by G. Srininvas Yadav, state President of the ruling TRS youth wing.

During the investigation, it was found few Facebook profiles were circulating morphed pictures of the Chief Minister along with abusive comments about Kavitha. The police identified Naresh, 27, and arrested him.

The police had recently issued a notice warning action against those for spreading fake news. The police also asked the citizens also to stop believing any unconfirmed news and not to forward them.
