Congress MLA attacked with knife at wedding in Karnataka

BENGALURU: Congress MLA and former Karnataka Minister Tanveer Sait was attacked by a man, with a knife, at a wedding ceremony in Mysuru late on Sunday night.

The attacker has been identified as 25-year-old Farhaan Pasha.
As per the report, Sait was seated at the function and Pasha attacked him with a knife and tried to escape. However, he was caught by the people at the venue and later handed over to the police. The incident has been caught on video at the event.
According to the police report, Sait- the Narasimharaja constituency MLA, was immediately rushed to a hospital in Mysuru and underwent surgery.
As per the report from the police officials, Investigation in the case is underway to find the reason behind the attack.
