COVID-19: Two students’ hostels in Karnataka to be converted into quarantine centres

Kalaburagi district administration has ordered to temporarily convert students’ hostels of Gulbarga University and Central University of Karnataka Kadaganchi into quarantine centres amid the coronavirus crisis.

 

Deputy Commissioner of Kalaburagi, Sharat B, was issued the order.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of coronavirus cases in Karnataka has climbed to 359 including 13 deaths.

According to the data provided by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday, the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has surged to 14,378.

Meanwhile, with 43 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours, the number of deaths in the country due to COVID-19 has risen to 480.

The total number of active cases in the country is 11,906. Meanwhile, 1992 persons have been cured/discharged/migrated.
