COVID-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh reaches 2,282; death toll at 50

52 more COVID-19 cases have been reported from Andhra Pradesh in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s count of coronavirus cases to 2,282 on Monday.


According to the medical bulletin issued by the State Command Control Room, 15 cases each have been reported from Chittoor and Krishna districts. While the remaining have been reported from East Godavari, Kurnool, Nellore, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and West Godavari districts.

The number of active cases in the state has reached 705 today, while 1,527 patients have been cured and discharged so far.

According to the bulletin, the state has witnessed 50 deaths due to the infection so far.

Meanwhile, with 5,242 new cases in the last 24 hours, the highest number of cases in a single day, India's COVID-19 tally reached 96,169 on Monday. 

Meanwhile, with an increase of 157 deaths, the number of deaths in the country due to COVID-19 has risen to 3,029.

According to the data provided by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of active cases in the country is 56,316. Meanwhile 36,824 persons have been cured/discharged/migrated.
