COVID-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh reaches 3,117; death toll at 58

134 more COVID-19 cases have been reported from Andhra Pradesh in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s count of coronavirus cases to3,117 on Wednesday.

 

The number of active cases in the state has reached 816, while 1,913 patients have been cured and discharged so far.

According to the bulletin, the state has witnessed 58 deaths due to the infection so far.

As per the report, 9,664 samples were tested in the state in last 24 hours.

With the latest updates, Kurnool, Guntur and Krishna districts continued to be the major hotbeds in the state.

Meanwhile, with 6,387 new cases in the last 24 hours, India's COVID-19 tally reached 1,51,767 on Wednesday. With an increase of 170 deaths, the number of deaths in the country due to COVID-19 has risen 4,337.

According to the data provided by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of active cases in the country is 83,004. Meanwhile 64,425 persons have been cured/discharged/migrated.

According to the latest report, the global case tally currently stands at 5,404,512, a rise by 99,780 over the past day. The death count worldwide amounts to 343,514, an increase by 1,486.
