Heavy rain: Man washed away in Saroornagar lake in Hyderabad, body recovered 20 hours later

As per the report, the mishap had taken place in the Tapovan colony of Saroornagar. 
 

 

The man, who was washed away from the road in floodwater on Sunday was found dead in Saroornagar tank in Hyderabad, his body was recovered on Monday.

The victim was identified as 45-year-old Naveen Kumar. The body of the deceased was recovered 20 hours after the incident.

As per the report, the mishap had taken place in the Tapovan colony of Saroornagar due to the heavy rains.
Naveen Kumar- resident of Almasguda had gone to Saroornagar for work. He got washed away due to waterlogging because of heavy rainwater from the surrounding area into the Saroornagar tank.

Naveen on Sunday was on his way back home when he saw a two-wheeler was caught between the rainwater.

"The victim, Naveen, was helping the two-wheeler to cross the stream of rainwater. But he allegedly lost balance and was swept away by the stream," said Saroornagar police.

As soon as he was washed way, the state disaster response force was called in and later the NDRF too was called in for additional support.

According to the media reports, rescue teams had been searching for him since morning and the body of Naveen Kumar has been retrieved.
