Karnataka reports 116 new COVID-19 cases, 7 from Bengaluru

Out of 116 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, as many as 71 have history of travel to Maharashtra. 

A total of 116 more coronavirus positive cases have been reported from Karnataka in the last 24 hours ending 12 pm on Thursday. This takes the total number of coronavirus cases in the state to 1,568, according to state health department.

Total deaths in the state stand at 41. As many as 570 people have been discharged so far.

Out of the 116 new cases, 71 have a history of inter-state travel to Maharashtra. As many as 25 cases have been reported from Udupi alone, 15 from Mandya and 13 from Hassan.

Bengaluru Urban saw seven new cases. Out of this six are contacts of previously infected patient. All are currently under observation at a designated city hospital.
