Kerala records more than 100 new COVID-19 cases for third consecutive day

The state had reported 111 COVID-19 cases on June 5 and 108 cases on June 6. 

According to the Facebook post of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that out of 4316 samples tests in the last 24 hours, 107 tested positive for the virus. Of these, 71 came from abroad 28 from other states in the country.

Of these, the positive cases 27  from Malappuramt, 26 from Thrissur, 13 from Pathanamthitta, 9 from Kollam, 7 from Alappuzha, 6 each from Palakkad and Kozhikode, 4 from Thiruvananthapuram, 3 each from Kasargod and Kottayam, two from Kannur and 1 from Idduki district.

Meanwhile, the test results of 41 patients undergoing treatment for Coronavirus turned negative on Sunday. So far, 803 people have been cured of Covid and currently while 1,095 patients are under treatment in various hospitals.

The chief ministers said that a total of 191,481 people are under surveillance in different districts of the state. Of these, 189, 765 are under home or institutional quarantine and 1,716 are isolated in hospitals. 277 persons were admitted to the hospital on Sunday.
