CCB joint commissioner Sandeep Patil said that Aindrita Ray and Diganth will be questioned again.

Kannada actors Aindrita Ray and Diganth were on Wednesday, September 16, questioned by the Central Branch (CCB) in connection with an alleged drugs case that has sparked a massive controversy in Karnataka.

CCB joint commissioner Sandeep Patil told reporters that the first round of interrogation of the two has been completed and they will be called again. The two were summoned to the CCB office in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

The interrogation followed a raid in the house of Aditya Alva, son of former union minister Jeevaraj Alva following suspicion that drug parties were being organized regularly in the posh bungalow spread over five acres of land at Hebbal in the city.

Diganth and Aindrita are not the first movie stars in Karnataka to be linked with what the police believe to be an illegal drug racket that involved the procurement of illegal drugs and their use at parties.

Actor Ragini Dwivedi was among the first to be arrested - suspected to be involved in supply of drugs - and is in judicial custody. Another actor, Sanjjanaa Galrani, also thought to be involved in the parties, was arrested last week and is in police custody.

The opposition Congress party said that only a few are being probed. The real people who are behind this drug trafficking are still not exposed.
