The Mumbai Police on Monday ruled out foul play in actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death and confirmed that he died due to asphyxia due to hanging.

 

As per the report, the post-mortem was conducted for over three hours last night and the entire procedure has been videographed. 

 The 34-year-old Rajput was found hanging in his Bandra residence in Mumbai on Sunday morning. However, no suicide note has been recovered from Rajput's residence.He was said to be under stress and depression for the last few months.

A team of three doctors conducted the autopsy of Sushant and the provisional post-mortem report was been submitted at the Bandra police station. 

The post mortem has been conducted at Dr RN Cooper Municipal General Hospital in Mumbai.

"Provisional postmortem report has been submitted by doctors at Bandra Police Station. A team of three doctors conducted the autopsy of Sushanth Singh Rajput. The provisional cause of death is asphyxia due to hanging," Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Abhishek Trimukhe said.

Sushant Singh Rajput was a successful film star. He debuted in the entertainment industry with the TV show ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil’ and followed it up with ‘Pavitra Rishta’. 

Soon, he transitioned to the big screen with film ‘Kai Po Chhe!’ and went on to do projects including ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’, the biopic ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, ‘Kedarnath’ and ‘Chhichore’, among several others.

The untimely death of the versatile actor has sent shock waves among celebrities and his fans alike. 

Scores of actors and politicians from across the nation have taken it online to share their grief and sorrow with the untimely demise of the young actor
