Telangana Assembly to hold special session on October 13,14

The Telangana government has convened a special session of both Houses of legislature on October 13 and 14 to take up amendments to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Act and some other legislations suggested by the High Court.

 

The Telangana government has decided to conduct Legislative Assembly on October 13 and Council on October 14. 
While the Assembly will commence at 11.30 am the Council will begin at 11 am.

The amendments to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Act and some other legislations suggested by the High Court are likey to be taken up.

As per the report, the bills introduced in the Assembly on October 13 would be placed before the Council on October 14.

In this connection the State Cabinet will be meeting at Pragathi Bhavan on Saturday at 5 pm to discuss and approve the Bills to be introduced in the Legislature.

The Cabinet is also expected to discuss the 'Regulatory Farming Policy' to be implemented during the summer crop season and paddy purchase issue.

The Assembly had met from September 7 to 16 during which it passed crucial bills on land and revenue administration.

It also adopted a resolution urging the Centre to confer the country's highest civilian honour Bharat Ratna on former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao posthumously on the occasion of his ongoing birth centenary celebrations.
