Telangana records 2,479 new COVID-19 cases, 10 deaths in last 24 hours

 Telangana recorded 2,479 fresh cases, taking the state’s tally to 1.47 lakh.  With 10 deaths in the last 24 hours, the casualties in the state have risen to 916. 


With 2,479 new COVID-19 cases reported in Telangana as of Tuesday 8 pm, the total number of coronavirus cases in the State have risen to 1,47,642.

According to the government bulletin, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 322, followed by Rangareddy 188, Medchal Malkajgiri 183 and Warangal Urban 124 districts.

According to a media bulletin, 2,485 patients have recovered while 10 deaths were reported during the same.

Of 1,47,642 cumulative count, there are 31,654 active cases, 1,15,072 recoveries in the State

As many as62,469 samples were tested on September 8. Cumulatively,18.90 lakh samples have been tested. The samples tested per million population was50,922.

The case fatality rate in the state was 0.62 per cent, while it was 1.69 per cent at the national level. The recovery rate in Telangana was 77.9 per cent, while it was 77.76 per cent in the country.

The number of individuals in home or institutional isolation was24,741.

Meanwhile, with an increase of  89,706 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the coronavirus count in India has crossed 43 lakhs mark on Wednesday.

In the past 24 hours, India has recorded 89,706 coronavirus cases, taking its total count to 43,70,129.

The country on Monday reported its highest single-day spike of 90,802 new cases of coronavirus so far, setting a global record

Meanwhile, 1,115 patients succumbed to the deadly contagious disease, taking the fatalities count to 73,890.

According to the data provided by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of active cases in the country is 8,97,394. Meanwhile 33,98,845 persons have been cured/discharged/migrated.
