Telangana reports 1,445 new COVID-19 cases, 6 deaths

Telangana registered 1,445  fresh coronavirus cases, taking the tally to 2.38lakh while 6more deaths pushed the toll to 1,336.


Telangana reported 1,445 new COVID-19 cases, taking the overall tally to 2,38,632, the state government said on Saturday.

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 286, followed by Medchal Malkajgiri 122 and Rangareddy 107, a government bulletin said on Saturday providing data as of 8 PM on October 30.

The recoveries touched 2,18,887 with 1,486 recoveries on a single day. Currently, there are 18,409 persons undergoing coronavirus treatment including 15,439 persons who are at home/institutional isolation.

As many as 41,243 samples were tested on October 30. Cumulatively, 42.81 lakh samples have been tested. The samples tested per million population was 1,15,045.

As per the bulletin, the case fatality rate in the state was 0.56 per cent, while it was 1.5 per cent at the national level. The recovery rate in Telangana was 91.72 per cent, while it was 91.3 per cent in the country.

Meanwhile, with an increase of 48,268 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the coronavirus count in India has crossed 81- lakhs mark.  

In the past 24 hours, India has 48,268 coronavirus cases, taking its total count 81,37,119.

Meanwhile, 551 patients succumbed to the deadly contagious disease, taking the fatalities count to 1,21,641 . 

According to the data provided by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of active cases in the country is 5,82,649. Meanwhile 74,32,829 persons have been cured/discharged/migrated.
