Telangana reports 1,607 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hrs, total tally reaches 2,48,891

Telangana registered 1,607  fresh coronavirus cases, taking the tally to 2.48 lakh while 6 more deaths pushed the toll to 1,372.


As many as 1,607 new cases of COVID-19 and 6 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours in Telangana, as per the State Health Department on Saturday.

With these cases, the COVID-19 tally of the state has reached 2,48,891 including 1,372 deaths, and 19,936 active cases.

Meanwhile, 937 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, taking the total recovery tally to 2,27,583 in Telangana.

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 296, followed by Rangareddy 115 and Medchal Malkajgiri 113, a government bulletin said on Saturday providing data as of 8 PM on November 6.

A total of 17,134 people are in-home or institutional isolation in the state. As many as19,936 are under treatment and44,644 samples were tested on November 6.

Cumulatively,45.75 lakh samples have been tested. The samples tested per million population was1,22,939, the bulletin said.

The case fatality rate in the state was 0.55 per cent, while it was 1.5 per cent at the national level.

The recovery rate in Telangana was 91.43 per cent, while it was 92.4 per cent in the country.
