Telangana reports 2,278 new COVID-19 cases, 10 deaths in last 24 hours

A total of 2,458 persons have recovered by Friday, taking the overall Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 1,21,925.


Telangana registered 2,278 fresh COVID-19 cases and 10 related fatalities, taking the overall toll to 950 and the cumulative number of positive cases so far to 1,54,880.

According to the State Health Department, the total number of cases includes 32,005 active cases and 1,21,925 recoveries.

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 331, followed by Rangareddy 184, Medchal Malkajgiri 150 and Nalgonda 126 districts, a government bulletin said on Saturday, providing data as of 8 PM on September 11. 

The cumulative recovered cases stood at 1.21 lakh while 32,005 are under treatment. The recovery rate in Telangana was 78.7 per cent, while it was 77.5 per cent in the country.

As many as 25,050 patients are under home isolation across the State while 6,955 positive cases are in institutional care.

Meanwhile, with an increase of 97,570 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the coronavirus count in India has crossed 46 lakhs mark on Saturday.

In the past 24 hours, India has recorded 97,570 coronavirus cases, taking its total count to 46,59,985.

Meanwhile, 1,201 patients succumbed to the deadly contagious disease, taking the fatalities count to 77,472.

According to the data provided by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of active cases in the country is 9,58,316. Meanwhile 36,24,197persons have been cured/discharged/migrated.
