AMARAVATI: The demolition of the  ‘Praja Vedika’ building is underway for the second day.

The demolition process of the public grievance hall had begun on Tuesday evening.

The building was constructed by the previous TDP government to hold government functions and meetings adjacent to the residence of former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

On Monday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had ordered the demolition of ‘Praja Vedika’ building.

He had said, ‘Praja Vedika’ hall was constructed illegally and it violated many acts.

Earlier, TDP Chief Naidu had written to the new Chief Minister Reddy and urged him to allocate the building to him in the capacity of Leader of Opposition.

Naidu’s TDP suffered a severe drubbing at the hands of Reddy’s YSRCP.

Reddy's party has won 151 of the 175 Assembly seats and 22 of the 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh, the elections for which were held on April 11.
