AMARAVATI: Telugu Desam Party chief and Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday staged a protest against the YSRCP government, alleging that the state government is not clearing the bills for work done under National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) during the TDP rule.

Telugu Desam Party Chief Naidu along with TDP legislators, both MLAs and MLCs, participated in the protest.

They alleged that under the YSRCP government, the contracts are being given to new contractors, without clearing old dues which stands at approximately Rs 3000 crores.

TDP demanded immediate payment of bills dues under NREGS. The party alleges that the funds released by the central government are being diverted instead of clearing the bills.
