MANGALURU: Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Sunday said that JD(S) supremo HD Deve Gowda won’t be Prime Minister if mahagathbandhan or grant-alliance comes to power.
“If mahagathbandhan or grant-alliance comes to power, HD Deve Gowda will not be the Prime Minister. He will be an advisor to the government”, Kumaraswamy said.
On February 27, while addressing a poll rally in Mandya, Kumaraswamy had said, if the Congress-JD(S) alliance win at least 20-22 seats in Karnataka, a Kannadiga can once again become the Prime Minister of the country.
Seven phase elections in the country will begin on April 11 and will end on May 19.
Karnataka will go to polls on April 18 and 23, the counting of votes will be held on May 23.
