Kerala police taking help of foreign agencies to trace missing German tourist

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Director General of Police (DGP), Loknath Behera on Monday said police is taking the help of foreign agencies to trace a German woman tourist, who had come to the state in March and allegedly went missing.


As per the report, Lisa had reached Thiruvananthapuram on March 7 and after that, there has been no information about her.

"Investigation can only be possible with the help of foreign agencies”, Kerala Director General of Police (DGP), Loknath Behera said on Monday.

“We are in touch with various foreign agencies in Germany, Sweden, Interpol amongst others”, he added.

"We do not have enough details about the German woman. But we may bring to light more information through proper coordination with the agencies”, he said.

On July 2, a ten-member special investigation team, headed by Deputy SP Sheen Tharayil was set up to trace the foreign woman, named Lisa, who went missing from Thiruvananthapuram in March this year.
