Four Indian fishermen arrested by Sri Lankan Navy

RAMESWARAM: Four Indian fishermen were arrested by the Sri Lankan Navy on Tuesday for allegedly fishing in the island nation's waters.

As per the report, the fishermen were arrested from the state of Tamil Nadu along with the boat. The interrogation of all fishermen is underway at Kankesanthurai naval camp in Srilanka.

More details are awaited.

India and Sri Lanka regularly arrest each other's fishermen, who inadvertently enter into their waters due to the absence of any proper technology to confirm the coastline border between Sri Lanka and India.
