Captain Kane's late header helps England win against Tunisia

VOLGOGRAD (RUSSIA): England have won their opening game at the World Cup with a fighting 2-1 victory over Tunisa in Volgograd.

Captain Harry Kane gave England all three points by scoring a brace. After his early 11th minute lead was negated by Ferjani Sassi's goal from spot-kick, Kane scored the winner in the stoppage time.

Tunisia who had been outplayed for the first half-hour pulled level in the 35th minute as their midfielder scored the goal after Kyle Walker elbowed Fakhreddine Ben Youssef in the box.

Kane scored goals on either side of half time in his World Cup debut while wearing the captain’s armband.

England, who had the edge right from the beginning of the match, have the three crucial points to keep them close to Belgium.
