Google Stadia to allow publishers to offer their own gaming subscriptions

CALIFORNIA: Google’s upcoming gaming service Stadia will allow publishers to offer their own gaming subscriptions.


According to the Verge, The head of Google Stadia, Phil Harrison, has said publishers will be allowed to offer their own game subscriptions through the streaming service.

He also indicated that publishers with bigger catalogues and significant line-ups will be allowed to offer subscriptions.

Electronic Arts have already confirmed that it will offer games through Stadia, although it has yet to announce specific titles.
