WhatsApp is currently working on a string of new features for its messaging platform.

According to a report by Wabetainfo, WhatsApp is working on a new feature- Vacation mode and Silent mode for better chatting experience. It will help the customers to improve the archived chat experience.

The previous reports said that WhatsApp will soon roll out the picture-in-picture (PiP) mode as well as introduce Stickers.

“Currently, when you archive a chat, automatically it will unarchive when a new chat is received from the same contact. But based on the new vacation mode feature, your archived chats will not restore on your WhatsApp window” the report said.

“While enabling Vacation Mode, muted archived chat won’t be unarchived until you unmute them. This is the most awaiting feature for the customer. Because users are asking for this, since WhatsApp has added the Archive Chat feature”, the report stated.

Additionally, there's also a silent mode feature. It helps to hide the app badge for muted chats. It is already available and active by default. This new feature hides a notification count on the WhatsApp's app icon for chats in mute mode.

Currently, users who haven't received the update yet can still see the notification count/dots for chats in mute mode too.

According to the report, WhatsApp is also planning to add an account linking support for social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook. It will help the user to recover the password and help you to share your status updates in Instagram automatically. The Linked Accounts option will be located under your Profile Settings.

The source said that this feature is currently under development and WhatsApp will soon launch this feature to both iOS and Andriod.
